Umbalai is a Sabah-born activewear brand dedicated to reimagining sportswear for the local market with a global mindset. The word “Umbalai” comes from our Dusun language, meaning “try.” We chose it as a daily reminder that trying — and failing — is a powerful step toward progress. We’re a small team with big ambitions: to compete with the world’s leading brands someday, while staying rooted in the people and stories that shape Sabah.
